Discover the story of Bath

Museums in Bath have selected 99 of the most fascinating objects to be found throughout the city and within the museums’ collections.

Everything from the impressive Royal Crescent buildings, a huge plug from the Roman Baths and the telescope of William Herschel, who discovered Uranus in 1781, have found their way onto the list. The final 100th item will be left up to the public to select at the end of 2011.

“The idea of Bath in 100 Objects is to highlight some of the treasures on display in the City’s museum,” said Robin Bischert of Bath Tourism Plus.
