Drapers Hall
St Mary’s Place, Shrewsbury, Shropshire
4 bedrooms
From £140 per room per night

Dating from 1556 Drapers Hall is one of Shrewsbury’s oldest buildings, with many original features including exposed beams, broad fireplaces and wood panelling. Originally chosen as the headquarters for the Shrewsbury Drapers Company Guild just over a decade after the Hall was built, it still hosts their occasional meetings. Guests will find the hotel just five minutes’ walk from the railway station while also at the heart of the bustling market town. End the day with a drink in the bar, or try the hotel restaurant – tables fill fast here thanks to its delicious menu, which includes both gourmet and simpler fare.
