The Oakley Court
Windsor, Berkshire
118 bedrooms
From £120 per room per night

Well situated for trips into London or for exploring the many attractions of Windsor, The Oakley Court has plenty to offer prospective guests. Set within 37 acres of grounds that slope down to meet a private stretch of the River Thames, the hotel appears to be a world away from the hum of local life. Built in 1859 in French Gothic style, the building has a fascinating history. It is said to have been used as the English HQ for the French Resistance during the Second World War, and in latter years has taken a star turn for the film industry, featuring in St Trinians and the Rocky Horror Picture Show among others. Dine in style at the restaurant, or book to attend one of the regular gastronomy events before retiring to a room, some of which offer four poster beds with river views.
